Lesson Information
Ever After Acres is proud to offer lessons structured around the Equine Canada Rider Level Program! This is a NATIONAL certification program with national standards run by Certified and licensed Coaches. Laura (farm owner) has completed the Competition Level Coaching Certification. Ally Sillers has a Competition Specialist Coaching Certification and joined the team as Head Coach in Sept 2021. She brings a depth of knowledge and humor that makes her love for teaching obvious to everyone. Other instructors at Ever After Acres will be working under the supervision and direction of a certified coach and will be supported in their endeavors to become certified. Equine Canada intends to have everyone who teaches riding be certified by 2022. The intention of the Rider Level Program is to give the rider a progressive framework to follow that is broken down into manageable steps. It also gives students the opportunity to gain the education and horsemanship skills that go hand in hand with riding and working safely around the horses. Riders will have the opportunity to (but are not required to) participate in the Rider Level Testing Program. A rider with a Rider Level certification will be recognized anywhere in Canada as having achieved that standard. This is a stepping stone for jobs in equestrian facilities, riding camps, working in barns and being able to gain a coaching certificate as early as 16 years! Well worth the effort.
In order to provide quality lessons we will be offering lessons in packages of twelve to be completed over three months. In every three month interval there is one spare week available for a make-up lesson if necessary. If no lessons are missed then it is a free bonus lesson!
